Out on the track

An exhibition held at the Penny School Gallery. Paintings made while bushwalking around the goldfields area of Victoria. So many thousands of people passed through the area during the gold rush and yet, because they took everything with them as they moved from seam to seam - even hotels, stores and homes were moved - that all that remains is the tortured, broken country covered in regrowth.
